Tourism Society -
Wales The Tourism Society
Wales was launched in November 2003. The inaugural meeting endorsed
the need for a professional networking basis in Wales and agreed
that this would be based on the four economic regions of Wales -
North, Mid, South West and South East. Each region would hold one
open meeting themed on a specific topic during the year this would
be underpinned by social networking events. The meeting appointed
joint coordinators for the year - Peter Cole FTS and John Walsh-Heron
FTS. It was also agreed that approaches should be made to both HCIMA
and ILAM to coordinated activities in Wales of mutual interest.
A general meeting would be held in November 2004 to coincide with
the Wales Tourism Alliance AGM in Cardiff.
