Gerry is one of the UK's most experienced leisure and tourism management consultants. He worked in consultancy across the education, sports, leisure, tourism and heritage sectors for 28 years. He had extensive UK and international experience. This ranged from governments and the EU to Premiership football clubs and voluntary trusts. This was all backed by previous senior operational and strategic responsibilities within the public and private sectors, including a local authority chief officer role. He was business & operational planning and governance advisor to the Millennium Commission then to the Heritage Lottery Fund for 12 years, reviewing over 70 major grant applications.
In retirement his emphasis is now placed on short inputs of pro-bono advice and expertise to assist organisations, directors and managers face new opportunities and challenges, using his practical and strategic knowledge and experience.
