Consultant Experience

Chris is a founding director of The Tourism Company,a tourism development and marketing consultancy established in 1990 and now a corporate sponsor of the Tourism Society. He has wide experience of preparing tourism development and marketing plans for destinations at home and abroad (Caribbean, Africa and Europe). He has a particular interest in destination and visitor management and the role of development planning in that process. He has prepared destination management plans for a variety of destinations in the UK including Anglesey, Dorset, Hertfordshire, the National Forest and many others. Overseas, his work has included the Tourism Management Plan for the Cayman Islands, a marketing strategy for Ghana, tourism training in Namibia and resort developments in Kuwait and the UAE.

Chris has been involved with the Tourism Consultants' Network from its outset and is a Board member of the Society.
