Equestrian Tourism
Thursday 27th October 2011 5.30pm
Follifoot Park Riding Centre near Harrogate
The Ride Yorkshire Foundation was set up in 2010 to develop and promote leisure riding across Yorkshire. A major project in 2011 has focused on exploring and mapping riding routes in the Yorkshire Wolds, including working with farm B&Bs to create a network of horse & rider accommodation. This project was part-funded by the LEADER programme, under the Rural Development Programme for England.
Learn how this successful event has enriched outdoors tourism in the North East plus, a tour of the active Follifoot Riding Centre – and a meeting with Stan, the mechanical horse – and the opportunity for your own equestrian experience with a half-hour riding lesson (Additional charge).
