Jasmijn Mueller has just completed her dissertation ‘The role of tourism consultants in tourism development’ towards her Master’s degree. As part of her research into this topic she interviewed a number of consultants of all disciplines and company sizes, many of who are members of the TCN. At this meeting she will present her findings and give an insight into this under researched topic. After her presentation the panellists will respond to her findings and address specific topics including the influences affecting consultants in their work on tourism development; the consultant’s role in the life cycle of a project and whether or not there is a role for academics in the work of consultancy. There will then be an open discussion with the audience where you can put your point of view. Come and find out what helps and hinders consultants in their work and air your views.
