Tourism Executive

Location:
Kingston upon Thames
Salary:
£30k - £35k + benefits, incl. final salary pension, 25 days’ holiday & childcare vouchers

Could you bring more customers to Kingston upon Thames and make sure they have the best experience here? Then, you’re the person we need at Kingstonfirst, the organisation responsible for improving business in Kingston upon Thames’ Town Centre.

Since our launch 7 years ago, we’ve brought nearly 2.5 million more customers a year to the town. Your challenge is to do even better; improve the visitor experience as well as maximise the benefits for local businesses further.

How? By developing and implementing a new Tourism Strategy and Action Plan that will improve our offer to tourists and promote it to the best advantage.

It’s not something you can do on your own. Externally, you must bring in new support and funding to help promote us and Kingston. You also need to establish a Tourism Membership Organisation for the town and surrounding areas. Internally, your success will depend on your working collaboratively with our Marketing and Events Executives as well as other colleagues and external stakeholders.

As a member of the Kingstonfirst management team, you’ll take on Town Centre Duty Management responsibilities, proving cover on a rota basis that will include scheduled weekends and support at events.  You’ll also manage our Tourist Information Centre Manager, so you’ll work with them to enhance the Centre’s services, supporting them by generating sustainable funding.

Degree qualified in a relevant field, you will have extensive experience in a similar role and be able to convince us you have the PR, marketing and project management skills needed to make a difference. Add design process management experience, creative flair, a flexible approach and strong communications skills and we would love to hear from you.
