The Tourism Society provides a range of services for its members. The list below provides brief details on each. For more information please contact the secretariat, or if you are already a member log in to the Just for Members Section!

Tax Relief
Subscriptions to the Society and TSCG are eligible for tax relief. To take advantage, notify the Inland Revenue of your membership.

Membership Directory
The Tourism Society publishes annually this list of all current members and their contact details. A free copy is distributed to all members and is a very useful networking tool (not available to non-members).

Tourism
All members receive the Society's quarterly journal "Tourism" free of charge. Contributions from members are gratefully received, although publication cannot be guaranteed. Each journal contains: expert commentary on current issues, special features on general topics, regular features on UK inbound, outbound and domestic tourism, membership and sub-group news and reports of Society meetings.

Training Meetings
The Council invites members to submit proposals for meetings. The Society holds around 20 meetings per year from September to June throughout the UK. Leaders in the world of tourism, hospitality and leisure are invited to speak on a variety of topics and meet members. Meetings that are held jointly with other organisations improve contacts between related sectors of the industry. Guests are welcome at all meetings. Booking forms for all meetings are mailed to Society Members with their quarterly copy of "Tourism" and with the annual Membership Directory.

When you need help
The Society recognises that business difficulties or even redundancy can arise during your career. At such times, The Tourism Society will assist as far as possible, particularly with networking and advice. Subscription payments due during these times can be discussed by contacting the Secretariat.
