Tourism Society Event Looks Towards 2023

On Thursday 7 January 2010 the Tourism Society will look to the future of the tourism industry at its annual Prospects event held at the Sofitel St. James Hotel London.

David Edwards FTS, Head of Research and Forecasting, VisitBritain, will set the scene by giving the audience the latest’s VisitBritain figures of where the industry currently stands and where it is heading in 2010.  Stephanie Draper, Director Change Strategies, Forum for the Future, will follow David with Forum for the Future's predictions of how the industry will look by 2023. Chaired by Professor Geoffrey Lipman FTS (UNWTO) the expert panel will include presentations from Colin Heal, Chairman, World Choice UK Limited, Roger Wiltshire, Secretary General, British Airport Transport Association and Jo Rzymowska, Associate Vice President & General Manager UK & Ireland, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
