GOING FOR FUNDING: WORKING WITH THE HERITAGE LOTTERY FUND
Making the most of the Heritage Lottery Fund is the focus for a discussion meeting being held by the Tourism Society Consultants' Group and the Association for Heritage Interpretation.
The event entitled 'Audience, Access & Conservation Plans: Working with the Heritage Lottery Fund', will be held at The Hatton, an etc.venues property near Chancery Lane, London (1st February 2006, 6.00-9.00pm).
Key issues will include:- the perceived overlap between the objectives and content of these two required plans
- the relative priority afforded to under-represented audiences versus the often greater need to grow audiences generally
- the level and range of consultation that is required for the preparation of these plans
The panel of speakers will include a client, Dr Ruth Taylor of the National Trust, a consultant, Steve Beioley FTS, and two speakers from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Karen Brookfield and Michael Tsoukaris. Chris Evans FTS, chair for the evening says "This is an excellent opportunity for feedback to and from the HLF on issues of concern for all involved with heritage funding, focusing on strategic questions rather than the specifics of an individual project."
