A Marketing Revolution?
The Tourism Society's Annual Conference debates the future of Tourism Marketing

The changes and challenges for Tourism Marketing in the UK are the focus of the Tourism Society's 2006 Annual Conference. From strategic crystal ball gazing to exploring the ins and out of the latest digital technology, the event has been pitched to add something of value and interest across the sector.

Professor Victor Middleton OBE FTS, author of 'Sustainable Tourism - A Marketing Perspective', will chair the conference on 16th June at the University of Nottingham. Expert speakers including Guy Parsons, Chief Operating Officer at Travelodge, will debate issues ranging from hotel and destination branding to online, viral, and digital marketing.

A study tour of Sherwood Forest's Living Legend Project, a champagne reception and networking dinner at Nottingham's magnificent Georgian manor, Colwick Hall will take place on the previous day, Thursday 15th June.

'Whether you are an experienced marketeer, a consultant, academic or student, this conference will provide you with information invaluable to your tourism career. Delegates from all sectors of the tourism industry are welcome' said Tourism Society Chairman, David Curtis-Brignell FTS

Sponsors of the event include the Christel DeHaan Travel & Tourism Research Institute at Nottingham University, East Midlands Tourism, Hilton Hotels, Experience Nottinghamshire and Nottingham County Council.
