REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES HOW WELL ARE THEY WORKING FOR TOURISM? Join the debate - 31st October - A Tourism Society event, sponsored by VisitBritain and the Berners Hotel
As the debate over Regional Development Agencies and their commitment to the UK visitor economy rages on, the Tourism Society has invited a panel of experts to discuss the issues.
As the RDAs appear to work in competition, is the UK tourism industry getting the best deal? Should we accept diversity in regional delivery or create a model that works for RDAs and tourism countrywide?
These are just a few of the issues that will be discussed at what is sure to be a very lively debate. Chaired by Bernard Donoghue MTS, Head of Government Relations & Public Affairs at VisitBritain, the panel will include Huw Jarvis MTS, Policy Manager at South West RDA; Richard Dickinson FTS, Chief Executive of East Midlands Tourism; Roger Platt, Tourism Officer for Tameside Council and Peter Hampson FTS, Director of British Resorts Association.
This debate is a must for everyone in the tourism and travel industry. The evening starts at 18.00 with a champagne reception hosted by the Berners Hotel. The meeting follows at 18.30 and concludes at 20.30 with networking and refreshments. The debate will be held at The Berners Hotel, Berners Street, London.
