SUNNY CROUCH OBE FTS WINS TOURISM SOCIETY ACCOLADE
Sunny Crouch OBE FTS has been awarded the 2006 Tourism Society Award
(12th October 2006).
The Award, given to organisations or individuals that have made an exceptional contribution to the development of tourism in the United Kingdom, was presented at the Society's Annual Dinner at the House of Commons, London.
Handing the award to Sunny, Society Chairman David Curtis-Brignell FTS said:
' In the 1980s she transformed the economy of Portsmouth through tourism. In the 1990s she created a tourism economy in east London . Last year she was named SHINE 'Woman of the Year' for 'lifetime achievement and being an inspiration for other women in tourism'. This year her OBE was in recognition of her lifelong contributions to tourism, regeneration and business. As a member and friend of the Tourism Society for over 20 years and a long serving Council Member and Vice Chair, I am delighted to be handing this award to Sunny'.
Sunny Crouch OBE FTS, receiving the award said: 'Among all the wonderful recognition that I have received for my work in tourism this means so much to me as it comes from my friends in the industry'.
